CANNIBALISM
cannibalism is the act of one individual of a species consuming all or part of another individual of the same species as food.
Animals which have diets consisting of mostly conspecific prey (a prey that belongs to the same species) expose themselves to a greater risk of injury and use more energy foraging, while there could be other alternative food sources available in their habitat, which could eventually entail less risk.
